ELTHAM College is committed to providing high quality care in our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service, for students within our school. Students are cared for in a well supervised environment. ELTHAM College also provides a Holiday Program for any student in the wider community throughout term holiday breaks. Please see more details on our Holiday Program page.

ELTHAM College offers a variety of activities to interest your child. The OSHC Program is set up with many different activity stations to allow your child to freely enjoy different types of play experiences. Activity stations include: dramatic play, create, draw and paint, puzzles and board games, music area, sensory table, relaxation area – bean bags, movie time, indoor and outdoor group games, computer game time, fully fenced playground, active play, and sport.  Activities are intentionally planned to enhance your child’s development in the following areas: fine and gross motor physical skills, social and emotional skills, language and speech development, cognitive (thinking) skills and life (including cooking) skills. Activities are developmentally appropriate and assist in the creative and physical development of our students. Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

ELTHAM College OSHC is an approved Child Care Subsidy (CCS) Service. The CCS is a government subsidy that offers different levels of financial assistance to Australian families to help cover the cost of childcare. It is available to eligible parents to help with the out-of-pocket expenses for students attending our programs. The CCS is paid directly to the service.

During these times students may do private study or attend approved after school activities. Students are not directly supervised; however, Library staff members are present at all times. The Extended Hours program is provided free of charge.
