ELC – YEAR 6
ELTHAM College is committed to providing high quality care in our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service, for students within our school. Students are cared for in a well supervised environment. ELTHAM College also provides a Holiday Program for any student in the wider community throughout term holiday breaks. Please see more details on our Holiday Program page.
ELTHAM College offers a variety of activities to interest your child. The OSHC Program is set up with many different activity stations to allow your child to freely enjoy different types of play experiences. Activity stations include: dramatic play, create, draw and paint, puzzles and board games, music area, sensory table, relaxation area – bean bags, movie time, indoor and outdoor group games, computer game time, fully fenced playground, active play, and sport. Activities are intentionally planned to enhance your child’s development in the following areas: fine and gross motor physical skills, social and emotional skills, language and speech development, cognitive (thinking) skills and life (including cooking) skills. Activities are developmentally appropriate and assist in the creative and physical development of our students. OSHC educators welcome regular communication with parents regarding their child’s needs and requests.
Please feel free to make suggestions or provide feedback regarding the programmed activities. The OSHC educators are also happy to answer any questions you may have regarding your child’s development and progress in OSHC.
Before and After School Care Programs are provided for students from ELC to Year 6 during the school term from Monday to Friday, 7.15am to 8.45am and 3.15pm/3.30pm to 6.30pm. The programs are operated by qualified adults and the students are escorted to and from their classrooms.

The Before and After School Care program is conducted from the Discovery House for all age groups (Early Learning Centre and primary school aged students).

After School Care Fees
Permanent bookings: $22.00 per child per session
Casual bookings: $27.00 per child per session
ASC and BSC fees are paid on a weekly or fortnightly basis through Debit Success.

Child Care Subsidy (CCS)
ELTHAM College OSHC is an approved Child Care Subsidy (CCS) Service. The CCS is a government subsidy that offers different levels of financial assistance to Australian families to help cover the cost of childcare. It is available to eligible parents to help with the out-of-pocket expenses for students attending our programs. The CCS is paid directly to the service.

YEARS 7-8 AND YEAR 9
Our Extended Hours program helps meet our goal to be a family friendly school. It operates from the DD Davey Library from 7.45am to 8.15am and from 3.45pm to 5.00pm. During these times students may do private study or attend approved after school activities. Students are not directly supervised; however, Library staff members are present at all times. The Extended Hours program is provided free of charge.
YEARS 10-12
Senior students may use sections of the Senior School building, Senior café, quiet study studio, DD Davey Library and approved specialist curriculum facilities from 7.45am and after school until 5.00pm.
ELTHAM also provides study nights for the Senior Years Students. These opportunities provide students with a dedicated space to study, away from distraction, with many resources also available.
Study nights are held in the Senior School Library on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 5pm – 7pm.
