We are excited to have launched our Strategic Plan on Tuesday 28 March. The night itself was an opportunity to thank the College Founders, current and past supporters of the College and to showcase many of our students. The evening opened with a welcome to country by Wurundjeri Elder Mr Ian Hunter. We also had an opportunity to unveil a portrait by Ruth McIntosh, grandparent of Oliver McIntosh Year 9, of Mr Harold Mitchell AC. Called “My Red Sock Day”, Ruth painted Harold Mitchell’s portrait for the Archibald Prize. We are honoured that Ruth has kindly donated the painting to the College where it will proudly hang in the foyer of the Harold Mitchell Performing Arts Centre. The evening also saw a performance of the successful Nillumbik House Music piece “Find Your Place” – Composed and arranged by Frank Dixon and performed by Madison Borgeest, Ceyda Demir and Frank Dixon. The cast from Legally Blonde performed “There! Right There!” and the evening concluded with Year 5 student Sean Chen performing Bach’s Suite No. 1 in G major, BWV 1007.
Why a Strategic Plan?
The plan is an overarching document that sets our priorities for the coming years. It will assist the College on where to focus energy and resources; provide guidance on where to strengthen operations and ensure we are working toward common goals. It is essential that the document is flexible enough to respond to an ever-changing environment while creating a solid basis to guarantee excellent educational outcomes.
We know this plan will see excellent outcomes for the College over coming years.
