We believe children are born with a natural curiosity… a need and a desire to understand and interpret the world around them.

In the ELTHAM College Junior School we don’t just teach your child, we nurture in them a love of learning.

As they grow we aim for our students to become increasingly self-confident, resilient and responsible, with an understanding of themselves as unique individuals, integral team members and valued community builders.

We believe it’s these critical foundation years which set the direction for their lifelong learning. Our exceptional teachers and small classes enable students to be treated as individuals and to be given individual attention. Our curriculum integrates literacy and numeracy into a wide range of experiences, ensuring that learning is meaningful and constructive.

Core subjects are enhanced with Specialist Classes, including Music, Drama, Chinese language, Physical Education and weekly swimming lessons. Unique programs are seamlessly integrated into the structure of our Junior School with our renowned Bush Adventuring and History Centre experiences. Our Bush Adventuring program ensures that each child has access to a nature based education, while our History Centre provides the opportunity to explore complex historical events through a dramatic lens that relies on a structured but playful approach.

Why not satisfy your natural curiosity and come on a tour where you can hear directly from our educators and see our learning spaces. Tours can be booked via our Scheduled Tours page or personal tours can be arranged.

Contact our Registrar Liz Dosen at registrar@elthamcollege.vic.edu.au or phone 9437 1421 to make a time.
