Scholarships for General Excellence (Academic) are offered to new and current students entering Years 5, 7, 8 and 9 in 2018 who demonstrate outstanding academic ability.
The number of General Excellence (Academic) Scholarships offered each year is dependent on the quality of applications and the number of places available. Each scholarship attracts a partial reduction in tuition fees as determined by the Principal.
A General Excellence (Academic) Scholarship is tenable until the completion of secondary education and is subject to the College’s Conditions of Entry. Periodic performance reviews to assess that the student continues to demonstrate outstanding commitment, effort, progress, involvement, contribution, and influence on peers form part of the terms.
Applications for 2018 General Excellence (Academic) Scholarships are now closed.
ELTHAM College participates in the Edutest scholarship examination, and scholarships are awarded on the basis of the results of the examination and an interview.
The examination is held on a Saturday in February of the year prior to entry and students who achieve outstanding results in the academic examination are invited, together with their families, for an interview with the Principal.
Notification of results will be received within 3 weeks of the examination date. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified by mail, together with a copy of examination results.
A Scholarship for General Excellence (Academic) is subject to a periodic performance review which addresses the criteria applicable to all scholarships at ELTHAM College.
